Biography:
Ajay Kanduru received his bachelor's degree
in civil engineering from Osmania University, India. His earlier
career involved design of irrigation structures in India. He moved
to the United States in 1992, pursuing graduate training at Texas Tech
University, Lubbock, TX, and received a Masters Degree in Computer
Science.
Before working at NLM, Mr. Kanduru worked
as a consultant for Rockwell International, developing software
interfaces with Global Positioning Systems.
Mr. Kanduru started working at NLM in
1996. He was involved in the full life cycle development of the
Grateful Med for Windows project. Later, he was involved with the
ongoing development of Internet Grateful Med. He is now involved
in the full life cycle development of the NLM Gateway project.
Currently, he is working with developing additional features for
Gateway, while supporting the production deployment of the project.
His areas of expertise include
object-oriented software development under a distributed computing
environment.
Ajay Kanduru is an avid listener of
classical music. His other hobbies include sports and sight
seeing.
