Anne R. Altemus received her Master of Arts in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in both Fine Art and Sociology with a Minor in Biology, Cum Laude, from University of Richmond. Her R&D interests include the application of her artistic and technical expertise in combination with her instructional design experience and medical knowledge to identify applications of emerging and advanced technologies for visual information; developing and producing demonstration materials featuring medical and consumer health information for diverse audiences including allied health professionals, patients, families, and the public; and defining educational and communication objectives for all NLM programs and identifying appropriate creation technologies for production, dissemination, and display of information.
