Abstract:

A standardized set of terminology was developed from submissions of members of the health informatics and medical communities in the Philippines of clinical terms from patient-healthcare provider clinical encounters. These vocabularies will be used in OpenMRS, an open-source electronic health record to be deployed in rural health clinics. This will also serve as a model for a translating MeSH terms to non-English terms for searching MEDLINE like BabelMeSH, a multilanguage search tool.
