CENTER FOR CLINICAL OBSERVATIONAL INVESTIGATIONS
January 27, 29 and 31, 12:00 - 2:00 PM EST
The Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communication (LHNCBC) is pleased to announce the first Center for Clinical Observational Investigations (CCOI) workshop. Featuring the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) data, the workshop will take place in three virtual sessions, each from 12:00 to 2:00 PM EST, on Jan 27, 29 and 31.
The workshop agenda includes an overview of the NEMSIS dataset, detailed information about the data contents and recent research using these data, as well as hands-on activities that will give attendees a direct view of how the data can be used for research. The sessions will be recorded, and the recordings will be shared with the attendees. The slides from each session will be available on the CCOI website after the workshop.
NEMSIS is a collaborative system to improve prehospital patient care through the standardization, aggregation, and utilization of point of care Emergency Medical Services (EMS) data at a local, state, and national level. NEMSIS is a program of National Highway Traffic Safety administration (NHTSA)’s Office of EMS and hosted by the University of Utah.
This workshop will be held in collaboration with EMS data experts from NHTSA and the University of Utah.
