Multiwords from Light Verb Constructions (LVCs)

Descriptions:

This table list valid multiwords from Light verb constructions (LVCs). LVCs are verb and noun combinations in which the verb has lost its meaning to some degree and the noun is used in one of its original senses, typically denoting an event or an action, such as “make love” and “give birth".

Algorithm:

• Multiword candidates are derived from Light verb constructions using verb complementation code:
  • tran=np|XXX|
  • ditran=np|XXX|,pphr(...)
• Valid multiwords are then retrieved through tagging processes
