Abstract:
We reviewed country statistics on language fluency, GDP, literacy rate, Internet usage, medical schools, physicianper capita, and analyzed them with PubMed and MedlinePlus page-views to determine if they were associated. Afterdependent variables were normalized, language fluency (English and Spanish) was found to be positively associatedwith PubMed, MedlinePlus English and MedlinePlus Spanish views, respectively. The other parameters also showedvarying degrees of association with page-views.
